Candy Battle Dev. Log
Game Type: RPG (Since I am using RPG Maker MV)
Why this engine:
-Limited to rpg, in exchange to rapid production of games (Game jams only last until 11/9)
-Most powerful engine for traditional RPGs
-No coding required. Friendly user API compare to something like Unity (using C# and the visual studio….)
-Potential to increase my score in the originality department (Already powerful enough without plugins and I do not need time for coding)
Theme: candy, brainstormed results:
-Can be used to healings or effects (item effect, it was once a medicine) (Done)
-Sweet, colourful, can be hard or soft (item type) (Done)
-The colour could be poisonous (Done)
-Bad to teeths and blood pressure (endings) (Not yet)
-Can be used to coat other food (hints to users in game) (Not yet)
-Can cholk one to death (Use for attack) (Done)
-Can serve as a normal meal (for Npcs) (Not yet)
-Made from raw materials (Done)
What makes the game fun:
-Interesting item system (Candies used for battle) (Done)
-Multiple endings (GD, BAD, NEUTRAL, HIDDEN) (Not yet)
-Different endings for different NPCs (Not yet)
-Interesting quests (Not yet)
-Complicated boss fights (Half-way)
-Hidden events (Not yet)
-Raw material system (Half-way)
What function to include in day 1
-User typing in their own name (Done)
-Beginner’s tutorial (Not yet)
-World map with first down and dungeon (Done)
-First shop (Done)
-First Candy (Done)
What have I done in day 2:
-Control Tutorial (Beginner's tutorial) (Done)
-Item system (create candies from raw materials) (Done)
-Interactive battle (Using candies) (Done)
-Add an interactive dialogue for EVERY SINGLE ITEM that one can click (Done)
-Battle balance test (Done)
-Finished the events in the boss room (Done)

According to statistics, I believe that a lot of viewers left because this game cannot be played on a web browser. Should be improved for the next version.
